In this course students will learn about: - the basics of designing chemical plants, retrospective calculations transport of substances in the chemical industry, treatment products, raw materials and their storage - the basics of designing power plants, the basic concepts of energy, flows of energy in power plants, boiler heat balance, effectiveness of the device, providing the heat source power bases and power control

Subject syllabus:

1st lecture INTRODUCTION. Signs of the modern chemical industry. Classification of chemical plants. 1st DESIGN. The issue of construction of new chemical plants, plants (Cooperation of a large number of experts). Tasks engineer (designer Technology). Differences in the preparation of chemical compounds in the laboratory and industrial practice. Design solutions. Transfer of technical information (warranty). 1.1 Basic concepts. Investor, designer, contractor. 1.2 Cooperation of specialists in the design and construction 1.3 Fields in the project 1.4 Parts Project 1.5 Types of projects. Field projects, project task, project summary solutions, implementing projects, offering projects, additional projects. 2nd lecture 1.6 Choice of chemical technology. The relationship between raw material and final product. Criteria used in choosing the technology. Data for technological solutions. 1.7 Procedure for designing chemical production. Block diagram. 1.8 Schemes in planning. Scheme of production. Traffic patterns. Scheme to provide materials. Energy scheme. Developed flowsheet equipment. Disposition solutions to the manufacturing facility. General solution. 1.9 The choice of manufacturing facilities 1.10 The approval and delivery management 1.11 Acquisition of data for planning. Research conducted in the laboratory. Pilot research. Research conducted at manufacturing facilities. 3rd lecture 2nd BALANCE. 2.1 Balance calculations. Mass balance. Energy balance. Balance simple. The balance of the complex (containing recycled materials). 2.2 Balance scheme and its properties. Technological scheme (basic information for the balance calculations. 2.3 Alignment of the performance of individual production facilities. 4th lecture 3rd TRANSPORT OF THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY. Transportation (material handling) - Racing transportation (internal, external). Warehousing, packaging, measuring, weighing. 3.1 Mechanization and automation of transport 3.2-house transport. The diversity of transport used equipment. Transport materials in solid, liquid and gaseous state. Corrosive materials, flammable, unhealthy, dangerous explosion. 3.2.1 Background to deal with transport and machinery. Site plan with elevation data entry and exit points. Approximate description of technological processes. Power (capacitance) data for all individual types of transport routes and materials. Specific features and a list of materials. Substances liquid. 5th lecture 3.3 Transport of solids. Transport mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic. 3.3.1 Mechanical conveyors. Conveyor belt, apron, bucket, hrnoucí, screw, vibrating. Traffic oven. 3.3.2. Pneumatic conveying. Transport suction and pull. The main part of the pipeline pneumatic transport. 3.3.3 Hydraulic transport. 6th lecture 3.4 Transportation of liquids. 3.4.1 Types of pumps. Criteria for selecting pumps. Displacement pumps, pump blade and a pump operating on different principles. 3.5 Transport of gases. A batch transportation. Continuous service. 3.5.1 Fans. 3.5.2 Blowers. 3.5.3 Compressors. Reciprocating, rotary, centrifugal pumps. 7th lecture 4th TREATMENT OF PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS, AND STORAGE. The principle of operation, degree of disintegration, disintegration machinery (crushers, mills). 4.2 Classification of granular materials. Electrical power plants 8.přednáška Basic concepts of primary energy, energy transformation, CR circulation, basic marking the schemes, involving heat and power. 9.přednáška The flow of energy in the electricity unit, the efficiency of electricity production, principles and limits increase efficiency, the current level of electricity and heat, while respecting principles of environmental protection. 10.přednáška CHP electricity and heat with gas and steam turbine. Diversification the fuel source. The use of waste heat, primary energy and waste biomass. 11.přednáška Types of boilers, cutting the fuel boilers, fireplaces and parameters of the working media. Special boiler. The importance of the function evaporator, superheater, the water heater and heater air. 12.přednáška Boiler heat balance, heat production and efficiency of the boiler. Ash and Air balance of the boiler. Possibilities of increasing the efficiency of the boiler, an analysis of losses. 13.přednáška The concept of external coal handling, coal handling internal systems used, auxiliary boiler equipment, types of steam turbines. 14.přednáška Diagrams of energy consumption, energy design, the number of boilers and mills. Basic control circuits, electrical power control. block. Exercise The exercises in the design of chemical plants (Exercise 1-7) students become familiar with chemical coke plant equipment, with selected nodes čpavkárny process design and material balance čpavkárny. In the second part of the semester, designing power plants, there are themes following exercises: Determination of the calculation of fuel and reduced calorific value. q boiler heat balance, determination of heat production. q boiler efficiency calculation, the amount of fuel consumed and burned. q diagram of energy consumption. q Reading project drawings, scheme water, steam and air-fuel scheme- combustion. q Visit the heating plant or power plant. During the term knowledge is verified by test.
