Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of education in the study subject is to further deepen and improve students' habits in connection with their ability to analyze and synthesize selected assignment of partial construction node in direct connection with the topic of the thesis. Based on the processed literature and patent research and with the use of elements of the methodical procedure during design, perform the design and evaluation of the individual variants of the solution and the selection of the optimal variant of the structural design according to selected criteria and on the requirements of the assignment. The content of the exercise is to carry out a study of the design and construction of a given sub-device, or design node of a particular device. The students are based on the literature and patent research of the problem. The culmination of this work is the selection of the optimal design-construction arrangement of the device (part of the device) for the purposes of the thesis. Students will learn: • actively and independently collect available materials on the subject, organize them and analyze them; • propose solutions based on problem analysis and task requirements, • to establish criteria according to which the individual solutions will be assessed, • select the optimal solution based on the set criteria (assignment requirements), • specify the main principles of how to present and defend a selected variant of the design solution. Students will be able to: • independently elaborate literary and patent research of a given design problem, • select, organize and analyze the necessary information (including calculation methods) from the obtained materials to solve the task; • propose different solution options and criteria for their evaluation in accordance with the requirements of the assignment; • choose a solution variant that best meets the evaluation criteria and the terms of reference; • present your proposal and defend the outcome.

Summary

The content of the course is to carry out a study of design and construction of a given project device, or design node of a device. Students doing this they are based on literary and patent research of the problem. The culmination of this work is to select the optimal design of the equipment for the thesis purpose. Course guarantor coordinates activities and individual teachers participate in consultations of their diploma theses.

Compulsory literature:

1. Study literature will be recommended depending on the theme of the diploma thesis. 2. Standards, catalogues of machine parts, technical and engineering tables and company literature will be determined by the teacher according to the character of the thesis. 3. SW for machine parts designing, computer programs for computer labs.

Diploma Project (DP) programme: 1. Design training (DP) submission, meet graphical documentation and background papers, study literature (books, patents, magazines, standards) - continuously. 2.
