Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Knowledge and understanding of basic knowledge and skills in the use of programs for three-dimensional virtual creation models. An overview of the possibilities of using and using photorealistic visualizations, including a certain degree of practical skills.

Teaching methods



Students will get acquainted with the basic methods of creating three-dimensional virtual models in the field of industrial design and the basic use of 3D NURBS modellers - the RHINOCEROS program, including its V-Ray plug-in module, for photorealistic visualization.

Subject syllabus:

2D and 3D computer graphics. Color models used in computer graphics. Graphic file formats. Bit resolution and size. Fundamentals of Computer Typography. NURBS geometry. 3-D modeling in SW RHINOCEROS - solid part modeling. 3-D modeling in SW RHINOCEROS - surface modeling. Using V-RAY plug-in for visualization - use of 3D RHINOCEROS data. Using a V-RAY plug-in for visualization - Using 3D data from other CAD systems.
