Summary

Předmět je zaměřen na rozvoj odborných znalostí a dovedností souvisejících s procesem samostatné tvůrčí práce v oblasti designu průmyslových výrobků. V přípravě je proces nahlížen jak z hlediska fází (analýza, navrhování, realizace a prezentace), tak z hlediska metod (skicování, virtuální modelování a vizualizace). Těžiště zadání semestrální práce se tematicky přesouvá k diplomové práci. Úkolem studentů bude, mimo navrhování designérských řešení, i aktivní participace na formulování zadání diplomové práce (např. vyhledávání spolupráce s výrobní firmou či společností). Výuka je doplněna o exkurzy do dějin designu 2. poloviny 20. století a počátku 21. století.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Forma je jak praktická, tak verbální. Hodnocení úrovně jednotlivých fází semestrální práce bodovým systémem předchází otázky a rozprava. Během semestru probíhá několik kontrol rozpracovanosti. Výsledné hodnocení je průměrem hodnocení jednotlivých. U výsledků tvůrčí práce, účasti ve studentské designérské soutěži (přehlídce studentského designu) či na firemních konzultacích se předpokládá také zátěž mimo přímou výuku.

Subject syllabus:

1. Entry of semester work, topic range for thesis, background and information sources (books, company literature, periodicals, website, works, etc.) 2.–3. Formulation of thesis assignment (active participation of student, e.g. seeking cooperation with manufacturing firm or company), search and processing of documents (research) 4. First check of completion of semester work and individual consultation of results in a collective of students specialization 5.–7. Drawing elaboration of concepts of possible design solutions (sketches) 8. Second check on completion of semester work and individual consultation of creative results in a collective of students specialization 9.–11. Delivering selected concepts in virtual space (Rhinoceros software) and visualizing them during the development steps (V-Ray for Rhino software) 12. Third review of completion of semester work and individual consultation of creative results in a collective of students specialization 13.–14. Final concept completion (including photorealistic visualization) and graphic presentation of design development in poster form

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: As part of completing the course, the conditions are considered to be met by the submission of semester assignments (e.g. research, sketches, virtual 3D models, photorealistic visualizations, participation in a student design competition, etc.), which included periodic face-to-face consultations, while point evaluation the result of the classified credit corresponds to min. classification level E (ECTS class. scale), respectively class. grade 3 (national class. scale).
