In the course, students will learn about the issue of lifting equipment, the basic types and components of cranes and elevators. The aim of the lecture is also to familiarize the listeners with handling tools used in the field of transport and handling equipment.

Summary
In the subject, teaching is focused on the area of lifting equipment. Students are introduced to the operation of simple hoists and cranes and the structural solution of parts of these devices. Emphasis is placed on the use of standards and computer technology.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
1. The student elaborates a seminar paper from the field of mechanization and handling equipment.
2. The student prepares a search using scientific and patent databases (WoS, EPO, UPV) to find information about the state of knowledge for a particular transport or process facility with regard to the topic of the dissertation.
3. The seminar work and research must be defended by the student during the exam.

Subject Mechanization and Handling Means - Cranes, Lifts, Handling Means is the subject of the doctoral study program Transport and Handling Technology, which aims to deepen the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of graduates so that they are able to solve complex and complex professional assignments from practice and research areas.
1) Lifting equipment - rope hoists, hydraulic elevators.
