Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To analyze mass passenger transport technology, to recognize and formulate transport problems, to design technology of transport in urban passenger transport lines, to summarize and evaluate effects and influences of designed changes in transport. To perform quality evaluation of passenger transport and efficiency of dispatching transport control. Acquirements will be demonstrated by solving a semester project.

Teaching methods

Summary

Technology, organization, control and economy of road and urban passenger transport. Characteristic signs of passenger transport, technological elements of regular mass passenger transport. Outputs and quality of transport. Creation of mass passenger transport system, modal split and modal choice between urban mass passenger transport and individual car transport. Dispatching control and transport coordination. Operational and economical characteristics of mass transport vehicles. National transport policy in passenger transport. Timetable creation. Project of transport technology in one line (classified credit).
