Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will become familiar with the technical basis of individual transport systems. Distribution of means of transport according to individual types of transport and basic transport infrastructure - transport route, buildings and security equipment. They will also become familiar with non-urban types of transport and their specifics. Public transport - application of individual types of means of transport in terms of energy consumption and impact on the environment.

Summary

Students will become familiar with the technical basis of individual transport systems. Distribution of means of transport according to individual types of transport and basic transport infrastructure - transport route, buildings and security equipment. They will also become familiar with non-urban types of transport and their specifics. Public transport - application of individual types of means of transport in terms of energy consumption and impact on the environment.

1. Introduction to the course, history of transport, transport route categories, mobile units, infrastructure, basic concepts. 2. Technical infrastructure of road transport – transport routes. 3. Technical infrastructure of road transport – vehicles. 4. Technical infrastructure of rail transport – transport routes. 5. Technical infrastructure of rail transport – vehicles. 6. Technical infrastructure of air transport – transport routes. 7. Technical infrastructure of air transport – vehicles. 8. Technical infrastructure of water transport – transport routes. 9. Technical infrastructure of water transport – vehicles. 10. Public transport – transport routes, transport facilities. 11. Public transport – vehicles. 12. Transport organization and management. 13. Guest lecture, Siemens Mobility CZ.
