Cíle předmětu
Sypké hmoty (obecněji částicové systémy) jsou dnes v technické i vědecké
oblasti nejdynamičtěji se rozvíjející se disciplínou. V literatuře se
diskutuje dokonce o definici nového skupenství, neboť se svými vlastnostmi a
fyzikálními projevy liší od všech známých forem hmot. 40% všech prostředků na
výzkum Evropské unie směřuje do oblasti sypkých hmot ( mikrometrických a
nanometrických částic ). V rámci předmětu sypké hmoty budou posluchači
seznámeni s obecnější přístupem k popisu procesů probíhajících v sypkých
hmotách a jejich aplikacích při dopravě, skladování a výrobě. Takové to
obecnější pojetí sypkých hmot, kde jsou studovány a popisovány změny formy
partikulárních hmot v podobě matematicko-fyzikálních modelů je nutné pro
probíhající intenzivní rozvoj oboru a nárůst informací. Tento úhel pohledu je
nutný pro chápání nových informací a práci v oblasti inovačního podnikání. To
umožní posluchači vytvoření představy o možnostech, tradičních postupech a
vývojových směrech oboru a včas reagovat na možné vývojové tendence. V rámci
předmětu budou charakterizovány změny vlastností sypké hmoty, jako doprovodné
stavy jejich dopravy, výroby a skladovaní. Naopak ze změn mechanicko-
fyzikálních vlastností sypké hmoty v čase, lze určit typické znaky dopravy a
procesu, které jim předcházely.
Přednášky jsou věnovány popisu mechanicko-fyzikálních a geometrických
vlastností sypkých hmot a interpretaci jejich změn při mechanických procesech.
Posluchač si osvojí dostatek informací pro správnou volbu dopravy a skladování
v závislosti na charakteristice výrobního procesu sypkých hmot pro celou řadu
aplikací (např. cement, dřevěné štěpky, štěrk, plastové granule, kakao, uhelný
prášek, saze, obilí ).
Student bude mík základní znalosti k návrhu dopravních, procesních a skladovacích zařízení pro sypké hmoty. Porozumí vlivu měřených parametrů na správnou funkci konstrukcí.

Content of lectures (by week)
1. Powder logistics, definition of ideal bulk materials and powder (non-ideal), differences between basic physical states, selection criteria for transport system or process system for bulk materials.
2. Geometric properties of bulk material, granulometry, the morphology, methodology and theory assessment (Gauss, RRSB, logarithmic distribution and other statistics).
3. Mechanical and physical properties of bulk materials, descriptive variables, influence on the flow and pressure profile. The principle of shear machines, the default equation, rotary shear machine and other construction.
4. Methods for measuring the angel of internal friction, energy conception, the effect of partial physical parameters on the mechanical and physical properties of bulk materials.
5. The degree of influence of physical parameters (one after another) on the mechanical and physical properties of bulk materials such as humidity, shape, mechanical bonds, the electrical bonds, Roscoe diagram, construction, principle, application.
6. A general model of the pressure distribution in the bulk material, traditional and modern models. Solve the pressure distribution according to Jansen, Rankin, and Pascal.
7. Ideal powder and clarify the relations, piston flow mechanism, definition, description, marginal conditions.
8. Pressure spike, model creation, technical implications. Pulsating character flow of bulk material, wall frequency.
9. Failures the flow of bulk materials, static and dynamic vault. The mass and core flow, Jenike mass flow theory, application of ideal powder.
10. The application properties of bulk materials when designing transport, process and storage systems. Compacting of powders (Balšinova equation).
11. The application properties of bulk materials when designing transport, process and storage systems. Compacting of powders, pneumatic transport.
12. How to design crushers and mills. Theory of size reduction, degradation and compression, granulation and similar processes.
13. Selection of a suitable conveyor and transport systems for bulk materials (criteria), strict rules on the transport process, procedure.
14. Innovations in the field of bulk materials, development trends, and situations in the Czech Republic compared with the European Union.

1. How to get credit, list of projects and discussion, examples of bulk materials, examples of measurements in the Laboratory of bulk materials – VSB-TU Ostrava.
2. Mechanical and physical properties of bulk materials, the definition of bulk density and interrelated variables, definition of geometrical parameters of bulk materials, granulometry measurements on sieves and using a laser beam, an example calculation according to RRSB.
3. Calculate simple and refracted slippage and troughs.
4. Calculation of pressure in the vertical cylinder and in the vertical cylinder with conical lower part.
5. Calculation of the basic types of closures (horizontal, vertical, diagonal), special closures on gravel, very fine powder and more.
6. Calculation of the turnstile with axial or radial axis of rotation.
7. Pipe conveyor – disc.
8. The screw conveyor without axis.
9. Modern principles of pneumatic conveying.
10. Reverse belt conveyor, balance quantity supplied, study supplied amount.
11. Vibratory conveyor.
12. Safety precautions when transporting bulk materials. Environmental aspects of powder technology (dunes), modern types of technology, such as transport chips for biomass gasification.
13. Excursion to the company in the Ostrava region.
14. Awarding of credit.
