Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The student will learn: - the meaning of optimization methods from operational research to solve technical problems and transport practices, - the basic functions and optimization algorithms relating to the transport network, - the basic types of problems and algorithms related to optimizing the movement of vehicles on road networks, - the issue of basic types of service systems, the possibilities of mathematical modeling and determination of their basic operating characteristics.

Terminology in the field of graph theory applicable to problems in mathematical modeling of basic traffic theory, The problem of calculating the distance between the nodes of transport network Sightseeing tours in transport networks and the possibility of using optimization methods and planning, Location service center specified in the transport network, Project management Linear programming and its application in solving decision problems transport, Selected types of linear models - the planning of the production program, the role of transport and possible solutions, Basic knowledge of modeling the behavior of selected types of service systems, calculations of operating characteristics
