Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The subject´s goal is to achieve the necessary competencies to focus on the issues of fundamental principles of aircraft flying in the areas of heavy air subsonic and supersonic speeds. Knowledge of the Principles of Flight and the need of teaching of this course by acquiring of some aviation qualifications is an ICAO requirement.

Summary

The course deals with the basics of flight airflow around the body and the aerodynamic forces that this flow of bodies raises. The course specifically addresses the issue of aerodynamics at subsonic speeds in the controllability, sweep operations, propeller aerodynamics and basic modes of flight.
