Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the bachelor study branch "maintenance technology aviation technology" - to familiarize students with the subject AERODYNAMICS AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS 1 (AASS 1). To teach students the theoretical foundations necessary for practice in the aircraft maintenance environment. Understand and apply the different parts of accounts in accordance with mandated European standards. In addition to acquaint students with the structures occurring in small aircraft and their equipment.

This subject is focused for acquiring of theoretical knowledge in the sphere of module M 11 – AEROPLANE AERODYNAMICS, STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS and preparation to accomplishment of the Basic Examination in order to get AML Part 66

Subject syllabus:

1. Small Airplane Dragon Design - Concepts, prescriptive requirements for static and fatigue strength, fail safe construction, safe and durable design, structural stresses. 2. Practical demonstrations of the solution of composite materials. 3. Technology of joining structural elements (riveting, screw joints, bonding, welding). 4. Surface protection (anodizing, chrome plating, cadmium, lacquering, etc.). 5. Demonstration of the solution of joining of composite parts by gluing with special adhesives and finishing of these materials using glass reinforcements, carbon and aramid fibers. 6. Ensuring the symmetry of the structure when installing repairs. 7. Airplane movement theory and specific management issues 8. Primary tilt and direction control (wing and rudder) 9. Secondary control of a small airplane 10. Small airplane landing 11.Construction of the fuselage, wing and tail surfaces of a small airplane.
