Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the bachelor study branch "maintenance technology aviation technology" - to familiarize students with the subject AERODYNAMICS AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS 5 (AASS 5). To teach students the theoretical foundations necessary for practice in the aircraft maintenance environment. Understand and apply the different parts of accounts in accordance with mandated European standards. In addition to acquaint students with the aerodynamics of high speed occurring in large transport aircraft.

This subject is focused for acquiring of theoretical knowledge in the sphere of module M 11 – AEROPLANE AERODYNAMICS, STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS and preparation to accomplishment of the Basic Examination in order to get AML Part 66

1. Protection against ice and rain (ATA 30) 2. Landing gear (ATA 32) 3. Lights (ATA 33) 4. Oxygen system (ATA 35) 5. Pneumatic / Vacuum System (ATA 36) 6. Water distribution and waste system (ATA 38) 7. On-board Maintenance Systems (ATA 45) 8. High speed aerodynamics 9. Design and elaboration in the final thesis of own solution for complex product of composite material

Mandatory attendence participation: Active participation in exercises at least 80%. Students must successfully complete: 1. Intermediate test (min. 20 points - max. 40 points) 2. Final test (min. 31 points - max. 60 points).

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: Students prepare two semester theses according to an individual assignment and present their results. Students' knowledge is verified at the end of the semester by a credit test or exam.
