Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The subject´s goal is to achieve the necessary competencies to focus on the issues of practical flying by the Instrument Flying Rules (IFR). Knowledge of this subject is a civil aviation regulations requirement by acquiring of some aviation qualifications.

Summary

The course is designed to familiarize the students with the Instrument Flight Rules by the use of an appropriate flight simulator.

1. Introduction to IFR - Flight Simulator 2. Understanding the IFR flight rules 3. Basic IFR flight tasks 4. Advanced IFR flight tasks 4.1. NDB - Flights 4.2. VOR / DME - Flights 4.3. ILS - Flights 4.4. FMS - Flights 5. Abnormal and emergency IFR procedures training
