Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student will be informed about organization and controlling of road and urban traffic, automatic systems of controlling by traffic lights, ways of traffic surveys, preference and controlling of urban mass transport, telematics on road transport etc.

Summary

Introduction into organization and controlling of road and urban traffic. Highway Code. Categories of roads. Pedestrians, cyclists, parking, system Park & Ride. Road traffic flow. Road intersections, roundabouts. Accident frequency of road transport. Theory and methodology of monitoring and evaluating behavior of road transport participants using video-apparatus. Road transport research and analysis. Traffic lights. Intelligent transport systems. Urban transport. Road transport safety. Protraction community.
