Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will be familiar with the concept of the air traffic management system and the legislative framework governing the operation of the system. They will learn the principles of civil and military air traffic coordination, will be able to solve capacity problems of individual system elements and evaluate the functioning of the system as a whole.

Summary

Upon completion of the course, the student is able to navigate the legislation governing airspace organization, characterize the structure and individual subsystems of the airspace organization system, apply the principles of conflict identification in controlled airspace, address capacity issues within the airspace organization system—including the implementation of dynamic measures—understand the conditions for introducing regulatory measures, and evaluate the quality and efficiency of the airspace organization system.
