Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The student will improve in the use of optimization methods related to: - of advanced solutions to the capacity of transport network - the proposed structure backlog for multi multistage distribution systems - options for optimizing the sections of road networks, - options for optimizing the circulation of vehicles.

Summary

The course completes an engineering course most commonly used methods of operational research to solve practical problems of transport. It deals with complex and mathematically intensive procedures leading to effective design of transport systems, specified in the assessment of the problems is the emphasis on students' creative invention.

Subject syllabus:

Modeling of distribution systems with multiple primary sources Tasks for calculating the capacity of transport networks - to find the maximum flow intervals rated transport networks with a positive lower limits, the role find the cheapest maximum flow in the network (tools of graph theory and linear programming) Temporal coordination of joint sections on transport networks Models coloring vertices of graphs and their use in transport applications Column generation method and its use in transport applications Special types of models for the design of signal plans, traffic light controlled intersections Models for optimization of mass transport runs Operating segments neeulerových transport networks - Edmondsův algorithm
