Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Student is able to solve problems from transport practice (for example proposal of light controlled crossroad control plan) by simulation approach, students work with simulation software Witness.

Summary
The main aim of the subject is to extend knowledge from discrete simulation, the main part of the subject is devoted to selected transport problems solving by using simulation software Witness (for example signalized crossroad simulation).

Subject syllabus:
1) Simulation of signalized crossroad by using software Witness.
2) Proposal of signalized crossroad control plan by using Witness Optimizer.
3) Simulation of selected queueing systems by using software Witness.
4) Parameters optimization of selected queueing systems by using Witness Optimizer.
5) Interstation section simulation and its capacity assesments by using software Witness.
6) Elements of project control - Gantt chart, CPM method, PERT method.
7) Demonstration of Microsoft Project for project control.
