The course builds on the thematic subject of traffic theory I. Attention is focused on the challenging optimization modeling approaches, in particular multi-criteria approaches and attitudes to the different types of uncertainty (probability, vagueness, etc.).

Subject syllabus:
Selected optimization problems in public transport in urban areas (network design lines, the time coordinate in the nodes and links to sections of road networks)
Stochastic service systems for transport networks - optimizing the location and the possibility of mathematical modeling
Problem solving traffic engineering methods, multiobjective optimization
Unconventional methods of solving the (fuzzy modeling, neural networks, genetic algorithms, Petri nets) and their use in solving problems of traffic engineering.
