Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

In the course "Technology and Storage System Technology in Transport" the students will become acquainted with the technology of goods handling (material) during loading operations and warehouses. It also acquaints itself with the technical base needed for technology implementation. The course focuses on the following areas: - the role and place of material handling, - properties of the material to be handled, in particular bulk materials, - equipment for mechanization of handling operations, - special equipment for the mechanization of loading operations in rail, road and combined transport, - construction and technical modifications for the use of machinery, - warehousing and storage, system design of complex mechanization, - technical and economic evaluation of handling operations, - the safety of work when carrying out handling operations.
