Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
After completing the course, the student will
- understand the impact of human factors reliability on the risk system safety,
- will be able to distinguish priorities and use tools to increase operational safety, - after further training also work in the field of the company safety management system, or in the governmental authorities.

Summary
The graduate will be able to describe basic human factor models (SHELL, REASON) and explain the influence of stress, fatigue and error on the reliability of human factors in transport. He will be able to evaluate the psychophysiological prerequisites of the operator and propose measures to reduce the risk of human factor failure (selection, training, stress management). He will be able to independently prepare and defend a semester thesis analyzing a specific case of human factor failure in the transport system.

1. Introduction to the issue of human factor (HF) reliability
2. Basic concepts in the field of safety and human factor
3. Basic graphical models of HF (SHELL model, REASON model)
4. HF performance versus reliability (safety) of risk systems
5. Basic human psychophysiological parameters influencing the reliability of HF
6. Influence of stress and load on reducing the reliability of HF
7. The effect of lack of sleep and fatigue on reducing the reliability of HF
8. The influence of human errors and professional indiscipline on reducing the reliability of HF
9. The influence of the recruitment and personal assumptions of the operator on reducing the reliability of the HF
10. Influence of organizational factor failure on reducing the reliability of HF
11. Possibilities in the field of selection and training of operators to increase the reliability of HF
12. Possibilities in the field of stress and fatigue management to increase the reliability of HF
