The aim is to deepen theoretical knowledge master's degree and a deeper understanding of the context in transportation and material handling. It is recommended subject of doctoral study.

Summary

Students will receive theoretical principles of conveying and handling equipment and of their implementation in an industry. Pull elements (belts, chains, ropes), their constructions, joints and calculations. Belt conveyors, main parts, loading and unloading the belt, belt tensions, theory of single and dual drum and booster drives, running of the belt, resistance to motion, calculations, special belt conveyors. Bucket elevators, main parts, bucket charging and discharge, calculations. chain conveyors, dynamics of a chain, main parts of apron, en masse and armoured flexible conveyors, calculations. Screw conveyors, geometry of horizontal and inclined conveyors, working conditions, calculations. Vibratory conveyors, parameters of conveyor vibrations, main parts, vibration exciters, calculations. Overhead chain conveyors, main parts, calculations.

Subject syllabus:

Basic elements of transport and handling equipment (belt, chain, rope) their constructions, description, assembly and technological nodes and strength calculations. Belt conveyors, basic parts, loading and unloading belt. voltage conveyor belt. Theory and jednobubnového vícebubnového drive. start conveyor belt. Special belt conveyors. Bucket elevators, its main parts, filling and emptying the bucket conveyor. Chain conveyors, chain dynamics, the main part. Behavior and description of the chain in dynamic state, his calculations. Screw conveyors, geometry horizontal and inclined screw conveyors, working conditions, calculation conveyor. Vibratory conveyors, vibratory parameters of transport, major part, capacitive calculation.
