A doctoral student acquires skills in the area of advanced materials in the design of vehicles, as well as the application of advanced computational methods to simulate the function and design of automotive components and groups in accordance with the latest principles of reliability and functional safety. Furthermore, he will extend his knowledge of the theoretical foundations of rolling stock. Especially vehicle travel and adhesion properties, dynamic events associated with suspension, power transmission systems and regulation, requirements for innovations of vehicles will be introduced.
