Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students should acquire the following skills by completing this course: - to propose more robust storage systems, - a comparative method to find a solution for the storage of materials with extreme mechanical and physical properties, - verify by calculating the complex load of the storage system. Students should be competent in this subject by: - advanced design calculations of storage systems.

The subject Advanced storage systems deepens the knowledge of the doctoral study program students in order to solve the complex loads arising from the material storage.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

1. The student will prepare a seminar work in the field of storage systems. 2. The student will prepare a design calculation of the storage system for the selected load. 3. Seminar work and calculation must be defended by the student during the exam.

Subject syllabus:

1. Loading of walls of the storage system during the process of filling, storage, continuous emptying. 2. Load of walls in emergency situations, e.g. emptying with dynamic interruption. 3. Influence of aeration devices on the loading of storage systems. 4. Influence of vibratory devices on loading of storage systems. 5. Parameters of the storage system and their influence on the inertial forces of the storage materials. 6. The influence of wind on the resulting loading of storage systems 7. Effect of snow on the resulting loading of storage systems
