After completing the course, students will understand the construction of rail vehicles. They will be able to calculate the loading forces of subassemblies.

The subject Construction of rolling stock describes the construction of these subassemblies: - wheelset - axle bearings and vertical suspension - wheelset guidance systems - vehicle frames - towing and buffer gear - rail vehicle brakes - drive wheels

Wheelset guidance systems 7. Rolling stock bogies 8. Frames and contours of rail vehicles 9. Traction and impact device 10. Rail vehicle brakes 11. Rail vehicle brakes 12. Drive of wheelsets 13. Changes in axle forces due to tensile force
