Quality management, the concept of quality systems, industry standards. TQM and their application in transportation. Key processes in quality systems. Quality assurance. The role of managers in quality systems. Quality and the human factor. Economic aspects of quality management. Planning, regulation and quality improvement in transport. Legislation in quality. Basic tools and methods for data analysis and quality control. Links between quality of transport systems. The student gains a deeper view of quality management in transport and other industries.
