Summary

The course is based on module 022, Aeronautical Instruments, Module 040, Human Performance and Limitations and Module 070, Operating Procedures. Follows up on the course Aircraft Instrumentation I and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering in Aviation I. The content is focused on the description of principles and functions of instruments and avionics systems of modern airplanes designed for instruments flying, as well as on knowledge of instrument flying legislation and procedures for instrument flying, including procedures for low visibility operations.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

The knowledge of students is continuously verified during each lesson in the form of discussion and questions with the aim of actively involving students in the lecture. Students elaborate a semestral paper according to an individual assignment and present its results. Students' knowledge is verified at the end of the semester by a written test and oral exam.
