Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student is able to use professional terminology in civil aviation. He is able to describe the principles of operation of airlines and define the role of the state in regulating their activities. The student is familiar with the legislation governing the field of civil aviation. The student understands the basic security issues of civil aviation.

Summary
The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of basic information about civil aviation and its importance. The student is aware of the terminology used in civil aviation, will be acquainted with airlines and the principles of their operation and regulation of the state. Furthermore, attention is paid to the legislative side of civil aviation. Last but not least, the issue of security in civil aviation is discussed.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
The student prepares a semester work on a given topic. Verification of the student's knowledge will take place in the form of an oral exam.

8. Introduction to legislation and international conventions.
9. Organization of civil aviation in the Czech Republic.
10. Sources of air transport data.
11. Information systems in air transport.
12. Air safety.
13. Current problems of civil aviation.
14. Reserve.
