Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issues of planning and implementation of flights in civil aviation. The study of the course provides the student with a general insight into the issues of civil aviation and knowledge of all factors affecting flight planning (especially cargo flights), including knowledge of regulatory requirements for air cargo.

The content of the course includes general knowledge of civil aviation and specializes mainly in the issue of air cargo, including modern technologies of unmanned cargo transportation.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
The acquired knowledge of students is continuously verified during individual lessons in the form of discussion and questions with the aim of active involvement of students in teaching.
Students' knowledge is verified at the end of the semester by a written test and an individual exam.

Subject syllabus:

3. Categorization of aircraft, the possibility of transporting consignments in civil aircraft.
4. - 5. Flight planning management of cargo transport.
6. Selection of a suitable aircraft for cargo transport.
7. - 8. Weights and balance.
9. Fixation of consignments in flight, effects of cargo displacement on flight stability.
10. - 11. Characteristics of the process of loading and unloading shipments to aircraft.
12. Possibilities of using unmanned aerial vehicles in air transport.
13. Excursion to the freight terminal at Ostrava Airport.
14. Repetition, discussion, and consultation.
