Summary

Students will extend and make deeper their theoretical knowledge of the organization and economy of engineering production with aim their applying in practice an research.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Seminar work, test, exam Submission of the complete semester work via LMS no later than 30.11. The point evaluation of the semester work includes the fulfillment of qualitative requirements (content, scope, and graphic processing) of the work, the actual presentation of the work, and also the set deadlines.

Active attendance at seminars at least 80 %. Submission of complete processed semester works will take place according to the set schedule (see LMS) no later than one week before the actual presentation.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures 1. Principles of Management – management, manager, managerial functions, aims. 2. The organizational structures. 3. History of Management – since science manage (Taylor) until now. 4. Planning. 5. Project Management – organizational structures, time-oriented techniques. 6. Inventory Systems, Material Requirments Planning. 7. Standardization of company activities. 8. - 9. Facility Location, Facility Layout. 10. Technical preparation of production. 11. Quality Management, Quality Tools. 12.Progressive Approaches, Methods, Techniques and Tools in Production Management 13.The Economy of the Engineering Enterprise 14.Final summary of the discussed issues.
