Ability - to clarify a physical principles of plasticity - to clarify a basic concepts in plasticity - to clarify characteristics and modelling of uniaxial behaviour of material - to interpret yield criteria - to interpret plastic stress-strain relation - to interpret classical theories of plasticity - to interpret incremental stress-strain relation - to apply theories of plasticity to methods of metal forming analysis

Summary

Expect of brief outline of physical is theory of metal forming presented as a phenomenological theory based on experimental studies of the relationship between stress and strain i polycristalline agregat under simple loading conditions and on mathematical description of plastic deformation mechanics. Basic terms for boundary value metal forming problem are defined. Method of solution such problems will be presented and exercised

Subject syllabus:

1 Physical basic of plastic strain. Stress, strain. Effective stress and strain. Flow stress. Plasticity conditions SV and HMH. Plasticity conditions for compresible materiáls. Plasticity conditions for anisotrophy materials. Baushinger efect. Hardening models. 2 Plasticity plane convexicity, Drucker postulate of stability. Strain - stress relations, strain theory, incremetntal theory, theory of visco-elastic flow. Work of inner forces, work of extermat fricion forces. Extremal principes. Forming problem. Solutions methods. Strain work method. Equilibrium method. Slip line method, basic postulats and solition scheme. Experimental and numerical solution of strain problem, Visioplast method. 3 Upper bound method, solition scheme. Variation methods, solition scheme. Variation methods, Ritz's method. Finite element method, solition scheme.
