Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of this teaching subject is to deepen the knowledge of the technological procedure and of workplace layout development methods, analysis of work and determination of work time standards, use of standardization methods and capacity calculations. Furthermore, the students will gain knowledge of the requirements for the design of specific technological workplaces.

Summary

This subject is among specialized deepening subjects. The subject builds on knowledge acquired from the subjects of parts of machines, forming, machining, welding and materials science and basics of designing. The scope of activity of a technologist-designer is explained and the activity is practised. Training is aimed so as to make the maximum use of computer techniques.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: 1. System approach to technical production. 2. Sorting and measuring time consumption in mechanical engineering. 3. Structure of the production process. 4. Constructive technological standardization. 5. The issue of efficient use of elements of the production system - capacity calculations. 6. Material flow analysis methods for the manufacturing process. 7. Methods for developing technological workplace layouts. 8. Ergonomic system Human - Technology - Environment, Safety and Occupational Health. 9. Methodology of designing plants for the production of semifinished products. 10. Methodology of planning of service and auxiliary operations. 11. Designing assemblies for single-piece production, small batch production, mass production. 12. Designing foundries, forges, welding shops - methodology. 13. Using Dynamic Simulation in the technological preparation of production. 14. Latest trends in the integration of new technologies into production processes. Seminars: Programming and processing

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: In order to complete the credit, the student must prepare, submit and present the semester project in the penultimate week of the semester. On the basis of successfully completed credit, students can take an exam, which will consist of a written and oral part.
