Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students will be able to:
• explain formability as a material property,
• clarify the influence of forming on the properties and structure of the material,
• explain different terms of formability (SOS, Intrinsic),
• explain the formability criteria,
• describe unconventional metal forming methods.
They will get:
• • an overview of methods for determining metal formability,
• an overview of the unconventional technological manufacturing processes used in mechanical engineering, which is needed to understand modern manufacturing technologies.
They will be able to:
• choose suitable materials in terms of their formability for forming technologies in production processes,
• conduct experiments to evaluate the limits of formability of materials,
• select an unconventional forming method according to the purpose.

Summary
Subject, in which the students will be acquainted with formability as a material property, the influence of forming upon properties and structure of materials, unconventional methods of metal forming.
In subject the students will be acquainted with formability criteria, methods of metals formability evaluation, selection of suitable materials according to their formability for forming technologies in production processes. The students gain knowledge of unconventional technologic production processes used in mechanical engineering production, which is necessary for understanding of modern production technologies and they gain ability to choose the unconventional method according to done purpose.

7 Dynamic material model – theoretical issues, experiments and applications.
