Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The subject includes study of non-conventional (special) welding and thermal cutting technologies which are specified in curriculum of this subject. Study include principles of welding and cutting technologies, technological parameters, parent materials, welding positions, welding and cutting machines and equipments, shapes of welding grooves, filler and consumption materials, research and development of new welding and cutting technologies, possibilities of their automation. With special methods of welding include: Plasma welding, electron beam welding, Laser beam welding, Electro-slag welding, Ultrasonic welding, Diffusion welding, Explosive welding, Thermite welding, Friction welding, Flux-cored arc welding, Electro-gas welding, Stud welding, Plasma cutting, Laser beam cutting, Water beam cutting, Oxygen grooving, Carbon-electrode grooving.

Subject establish on the scope subject Technology I. The students will inform about special technology of welding in range - principle of the technology, welding technology and application of the technology. The following special welding technology will study: Plasma welding, electron beam welding, Laser beam welding, Electro-slag welding, Ultrasonic welding, Diffusion welding, Explosive welding, Thermit welding, Friction welding, Flux-cored arc welding, Electro-gas welding, Stud welding, Plasma cutting, Laser beam cutting, Water beam cutting, Oxygen grooving, Carbon-electrode grooving.
