Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Obtaining of deep knowledges in area of surface engineering.

Teaching methods

Individual consultations
Project work

In the frame of study student obtain deep and more detailed knowledge in the field: Characteristic of surface of mechanical materials, physics of phase boundaries, optical properties of surfaces, special methods of application coatings in vacuum, thermal spray application, implantation, using of laser, ionic nitridatation, organic coatings, vitreous enamel coats, nanostructured materials in surface finishes. Properties of the surface material and of the surface construction, the application technologies of surface layers.
