Summary
In the frame of study student obtain deep and more detailed knowledge in the
field:
Characteristic of surface of mechanical materials, physics of phase boundaries, optical properties of surfaces, special methods of application coatings in vacuum, thermal spray application, implantation, using of laser, ionic nitridatation, organic coatings, vitreous enamel coats, nanostructured materials in surface finishes. Properties of the surface material and of the surface construction, the application technologies of surface layers.

3. Chemical and electrochemical corrosion.
4. Corrosion protection, corrosion tests.
5. Mechanical surface treatment of engineering materials.
6. Chemical surface treatment of engineering materials.
7. Oxide coatings.
8. Formation of coatings in a vacuum.
9. Glass and glass-ceramic coatings and their creation.
10. Organic Coatings - paintings, creation and use.
11. Electrolytic coatings - galvanics.
12. Thermo-diffusion coatings.
13. Thermal spray coatings.
14. Quality control of surface and coating systems.
