Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Expand the knowledges of metrology princeples, become acquainted with basic law document in the metrology field – law about metrology as amended by the act no. 119/2000. Expand and practically apply pieces of knowledge form check of basic parameter of mechanical compoments on concrete exercises. Statistically analyse of measured data, measurement uncertainty, measurement result.

Summary

The subject is connected with lessons form the subjects:„Mathematics, Technology I, II, and Assembly Technology. The students adopt basic notions and definitions of metrology, principles of complete measuring data processing, the determination actual size for determination probability, measuring methods, distance measurement, angle measuring, evaluation surface roughness, measuring parts. The theoretical knowledge is practically verified in the laboratory.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Measuring the defense and the Protocol on the role of measurements within 2 weeks after measuring. Based on the protocol submitted to individual programs and their students are assigned a defense score (max 5 points / program) Control test. Scoring: Exercise: submission and defense of 0-6 programs 5 points / program control test 0-5 points Total maximum 35 points minimum number of credits for the award of 18 points Examination: written max 15 points oral (2 questions), max 25 points / question Total max.65 points total, incl. points per credit up to 100 points Test questions: 1. The importance of metrology in the system of quality management division. 2. Basic concepts of metrology. Units 3. Law on Metrology as amended by Act 119/2000 Coll (purpose, a division of meters, using measuring instruments, tasks, entities) 4. State metrological control of measuring instruments (gauges type approval, verification and calibration of measuring instruments, certification of reference materials) 5. Following Schemes - the essence, use of 6. Institutions engaged in metrology in the CR, their basic tasks 7. Measurement errors 8. Measurement uncertainty and the expression 9. Subject syllabus:

The program of lectures: 1. The importance of metrology as a science, its status and distribution. Basic concepts. Units. 2. Metrology law in the harvest of Act No. 119/2000. Institutions engaged in metrology - the contents of activity 3. Errors of measurement uncertainty (measurement data) 4. Basic principles of measuring devices (mechanical, electrical, optical, pneumatic, ...) 5. Metrology length (length standards, standard gauge, gauges). Interference of light and its use in metrology 6. Metrology plane angle (units, gauges, control methods) 7. Control and measurement of selected parameters of machine parts (threads, gears) 8. The quality of machined surface, surface roughness, (basic parameters, control methods, ...) 9. Requirements for metrology laboratories Exercises outline: Exercise No. 1: Introductory exercise to acquaint students with the program and organization of training, safety training for working with instruments in the laboratory, Exercise No. 2: Principles of evaluation results - practice Exercise No.3-8: Measurement Task No. 1 to 6, including a protocol for measuring Exercise No. 9: Completion of reports, consultations memorized substance, credit. Task List: Task 1: Direct and indirect method of measuring Task 2: Checking the dimensional accuracy of holes Task 3: Checking the cones Task 4: Checking the external thread (třídrátková method) Task 5: Checking the roller (flat) calibers Task 6: Check roughness Internal guidelines: Students are required to furnish to the exercises in this course work gloves and slippers for metrological measurements
