Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is to focus on technology in general engineering with an emphasis on technology used in the manufacture and maintenance of aircraft structures. In the course, students will be familiar with basic maintenance and repair procedures, measurement of machine parts, technologies of machining operations, as well as the principles and the creation of technology and assembly procedures.

Summary

Basic course in which students learn about maintenance procedures and principles main methods of production machining - Maintenance procedures for removing or renovating part of the machining, but also the relevant specialized terminology base. The course is also the methodology for the creation of technological processes of manufacture, installation and repair simple parts, including basic calculations. Students will be introduced to the basics of metrology.

Subject syllabus:

The program of lectures: 1st Introduction to the course (introduction to the program of lectures and exercises; literature, scoring). The importance of technology, maintenance and repairs. 2nd Fundamentals of maintenance and repairs. 3rd Tools - basic division and its maintenance. Function and application precision measuring equipment. Distribution and use of workshop materials. 4th Care of tools, control tools. 5th Základy metrology workshop. Distribution meters. Types of storage and will. Basic concepts - the nominal size, actual size, species deviations. Manufacturing tolerances. The system of single hole, single spindle and importance to the economy of machining technology. 6th Machining technology, the basic concepts. Influence of machining on physical features and functionality of machine components. 7th Physical foundations of the cutting process. Defining the basic concepts in machining. Geometry of the cutting tool and its importance in machining. 8th Basic machining operations with a definable cut geometry - turning - the species, milling - and ways of distribution. 9th Drilling and boring, shaping, planing, grinding, honing, lapping, finishing, scraping, scoring, and indenting, hand grinding. 10th Selecting the appropriate cutting conditions and parameters. Technical and organizational constraints. 11th Fundamentals of technological processes. Technological practices - meaning, content and their distribution. Creation of technological processes. Operations and its division. 12th Unconventional machining methods and new directions in progressive machining. 13th Fundamentals of assembly. The position of the assembly in the manufacturing process. Assembly components and assemblies. Assembly processes. 14th Methods of assembly, Technological aspects of product assembly. Structure of assembly sites and their classification. Exercise program: 1st Home exercise - an exercise program, the conditions for granting credit. Safety rules for individual sites in the laboratories of the Department of machining and assembly. 3rd Basics workshop control - work with the basic gauges, control components. 5th Workshop control (control of external threads, control gears, control flat caliber). Program 1, "Log Measurement". 7th Geometry of the cutting tool. 9th Seminar on the development process (examples of production processes) - Program award No. 2 "The technological process. 11th Basic methods of machining metals (basic concepts, tools). Work on the program No. 2 "The technological process. Examination. 13th Final assessment exercises and issuing credits.
