Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

This subject includes an analysis study of cutting properties of tools and of the machinability of materials. In another part of the subject applications of acquired information and regularities for all methods of machining in extreme conditions during the special production of shapes and formed surface areas are used. This part includes as well a technological view for machining by applying microelectronics and computer techniques. This subject is dealing with machinability and cutting power of cutting tools, types of machining and robotics and unmanned centers.

Summary

This subject includes an analysis study of cutting properties of tools and of the machinability of materials. In another part of the subject applications of acquired information and regularities for all methods of machining in extreme conditions during the special production of shapes and formed surface areas are used. This part includes as well a technological view for machining by applying microelectronics and computer techniques. This subject is dealing with machinability and cutting power of cutting tools, types of machining and robotics and unmanned centers. Lectures: 1. Introduction – information about subject, The influence of environment on the machining process. 2. Machinability of the workpiece material – machinability testing 3. Cutting tool materials, Tool live - tool live testing 4. The basic characteristics of optimization of cutting conditions. 5. Basics of programming NC / CNC machine tools. 6. High-speed machining. 7. Machining of materials with higher hardness and strength. 8. Methods of clamping cutting tools (tool holders). 9. Threaded surfaces machining. 10. Holes machining, machining of conical surfaces. 11. Free form surfaces machining. 12. Machining on automated flexible production systems and inflexible production lines. 13. Progressive machining methods - electrothermal machining principles (EDM, LBM, IBM, PBM), electrochemical machining (ECM), chemical machining (CM). 14. Progressive machining methods - mechanical principles of machining (AJM, AWJM, USM).
