Summary
This subject contains a comprehensive section on processing technologies and the foundations of measurement (metrology). It discusses the basic concepts of cutting machining operations - turning, milling, drilling, planing, shaping, sanding and in particular the manual machining. Furthermore, it introduces students to the basics of measuring lengths, diameters (internal and external) and angles in the most popular workshop scales. Includes active participation in labs and practical verification of knowledge on the lathe, milling machine and manually entered machining components and measurement of specified components, including the plotting of drawings.
