Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course follows the teaching syllabus CAD / CAM systems in machining I, which is taught in the third year of full-time undergraduate courses. Course CAD / CAM systems in Machining II is designed for students of the downstream 1st year graduate students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, engineering technology. It aims to expand knowledge in the areas of CAD / CAM systems and the possibility of extending the application of CAD / CAM system EdgeCAM in practice, the implementation of production parts on a CNC milling machine.

Summary
The subject includes exercise CAD/CAM system EdgeCAM in machining and near possibilities here of product how in part CAD, so in part CAM. Part CAM shows utilize EdgeCAM for turning, milling, drilling and for wire cutting. Contents of this subject including: creation and edition of CAD geometry, beginning cutting conditions, creation of technological process (strategy of cutting, setting cutting tools, instruction - G, M code etc.), cutting simulation, NC code generation for particular cutting machine.

Subject syllabus:
1st Introductory exercises. Options EdgeCAM software product, SolidCAM - examples.
2nd Creating and editing used clamping elements, adjustment of processing parameters.
3rd Using technology assistant and assistant procurement definition graphics tools.
4th Lathe with driven tools - enter PROGRAM No.1.
5th 4-axis turning, work on the No.1.
6th Advanced simulation and verification work on the No.1.
7th Milling specified components - PROGRAM No. 2. Practical demonstrations of machining.
8th Work on the No. 2.
9th Work on the No. 2.
10th Multi-axis milling - PROGRAM No.3.
11th Work on the No.3.
12th Configuration post processor designer, graphic configuration to simulate CNC machines.
13th Creating a post-processor machines with a defined model, control and treatment parameters and characteristics of CNC machines. Practical demonstrations of machining.
14th Final practice - Evaluation.
