Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The subject is connecting with lessons Technology and Machining - subjects what are interested about machining (turning, milling, drilling, and so on.) and CAM systems in Machining. The subject extends knowledge about technological process creation and programming CNC machines tools. It will be used special software for CAM system (CAM - Computer-Aided Manufacturing).

Summary

This subject is for 3. semester of magister study, specialization mechanical technology. Students will study theory and practice of machining technology (turning, 2.5 axis milling, 3 axis milling, 5 axis milling and indexing cutting) by means of CAD/CAM system. Contents of this subject including: creation and edition of CAD geometry, setting cutting conditions, creation of technological process (strategy of cutting, setting cutting tools, instruction - G, M code etc.), cutting simulation, NC code generation for particular cutting machine.
