Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student will be able to individual proposal of special cutting tool or fixture for cutting operation after graduating of this subject. Construction proposal of cutting tool he can supply about control of cutting geometry and conditions for production and maintainance. In case of fixture he supply accuracy of location and clampipng reliability for proposing variants.

Summary

Subject lectures develop into the deep chapters connected with tools construction of complicated geometrical shape. During the lectures students will obtain gradually theory basis and methodology of cutting tools design with form turning tools, with form milling tools, tools for spur gears production, tools for worm gears production and tools for bevel gears production. Lectures subject also develops chapters connected with fixative equipment construction. During the lectures frame students familiarize their selves with principles of workpiece establishment and its clamping in advance working, with basic ele- ments for mechanical, pneumatically and hydraulic workpiece clamping.

Subject syllabus:

1.consultation Basic of theory and methodology of cutting tools proposal. Condition for surface forming at machining. Kinematical schemes of surface forming and existence of workpiece surface. Turning form cutting tools. Equation of edge profile of prismatic and radial form citting tools. Form milling tools. Determination od cutting tool profile with possitive face angle. 2.consultation Cutting tools for spur gears. Analysis and characterization of shaper tool, hobs and finishing tools. 3. consultation Definition and classification of fixtures, workpiece location in fixture. Clamping of workpieces in fixture - clamping forces, mechanical clamping, forces ratio, clamping by pressure media. Sliding of tools - drilling plates and models, indirect sliding of tool. 4. consultation Fixture location on machine tool. Condtruction of fixtures - milling, drilling, turning, sectional, modular. Economy of fixtures - costs of fixtures.
