Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to experience with modeling and design in professional CAD software SOLIDWORKS. Within the course, students will learn of modeling parts and assemblies, creating drawings, data management, design welded and sheet metal parts and the basics of FEM analysis.

Teaching methods



Cílem předmětu je získat teoretické a praktické zkušenosti s modelováním a konstruováním v profesionálním CAD software SOLIDWORKS. V rámci předmětu se studenti naučí základy modelování dílů a sestav, tvorbu výkresů, správu dat, konstruovat svařované a plechové díly a základy pevnostních simulací.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Present form: 30 points (2 × 10 ps programs and 10 p test) 70 points exam (combined) Combinated form: 100 ps – exam

General knowledge of mechanical engineering and students' awareness of mechanical parts. General knowledge of standardization and technological-design principles.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: In order to complete the credit, students submit 1 term paper and successfully pass the credit test. On the basis of a successfully completed credit, they can take an exam, which will consist of written and an oral part.
