Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with real case studies in the field of additive technologies. First, the students are theoretically explained what the individual applications are for, and then the real results are practically shown. Students are gradually introduced to case studies produced using the following methods: FDM (plastic printing), SLM (metal printing), SLS (professional polymer printing), SLA (resin printing), DED (metal welding printing) and last but not least, they are introduced to reverse engineering (3D scanning) case studies.

Summary
A case study is one of the qualitative research methods. In this subject, a case study is taken as an in-depth study of one or several cases in order to apply the knowledge gained to a practical example. Case studies in additive technologies are a practical example of the implementation and innovation of functional components.
