Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to teach programming of computer numerically controlled machine tools with a focus on the method of programming using CAD/CAM systems, ie systems that use computer-aided manufacturing. Furthermore, the use of special software to support the production process (tools management and their clamps, fixtures devices, etc.). The content of the course includes the extension of knowledge of CNC machine programming with focus on the extension of basic 3axis milling strategies, advanced simulation and verification, multi-axis machining (4axis turning, turning with drive tools, 3+2axis milling - indexed milling and 5axis continuous milling) creation of the special tool and its clamps, generation NC code and NC code editing options, creation and editing shop floor documentation needed for production.
