Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main objective of the subject is acquainting students with the analysis and synthesis of linear discrete SISO ordinary and complex control systems.

Summary

Z-transform and its properties. Mathematical models of the linear discrete systems. Discrete SISO control system and its properties. Discrete conventional controllers and their properties. Stability of the discrete control system and stability criteria. Quality of control processes. Choice of the discrete controller and its tuning. Complex control systems.

Subject syllabus:

1. Z-transform and its properties. 2. Mathematical models of the linear discrete systems. 3. Basic types of LDDS. 4. Discrete SISO control system and its properties. 5. Discrete controllers and their properties. 6. Stability of the discrete control system and stability criteria. 7. Quality of control processes. 8. Discrete (digital) controller tuning. 9. Digital controller tuning - direct approach.

Exam (max. 65 points, min. 24 points) - the written part consists of 5 examples, each worth 9 points, i.e., a total of 45 points (min. 12). The oral part consists of 2 theoretical questions, each for 10 points, the maximum is 20 points (min. 6).
