Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The main objective of the subject “Theory of Automatic Control II” is acquainting students with advanced methods, which are used in theory of automatic control forcefully to nonlinear systems. These methods are e.g.: the describing function method and its use for determining of the limit cycles and plant identification, the method of aggregation of state variables. Attention is devoted to extremal control systems too.

The subject “Theory of Automatic Control II” belongs among theoretical subjects, which form the graduate profile of the student in master study program in the field “Automatic Control”. Its objective is acquainting students with the advanced methods in theory of automatic control.

Subject syllabus:

Complex control systems. Nonlinear SISO control systems. Dynamical analysis of nonlinear SISO control systems. Fuzzy and linguistic control algorithms. Extremal SISO control systems. Mathematical models of elements of MIMO control systems. MIMO control systems, basis transfer function matrices, stability, autonomity and invariance of MIMO control systems. Synthesis of MIMO control systems. State space models of linear dynamic systems. Canonical forms of state space models. Stability, controllability and observability of linead dynamic systems. State control of linear dynamic systems. State observer of linear dynamic systems.
