Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to gain deep knowledge in the areas of: computer architecture, principles and features of processors and memories, in the internal structure of input and output units, peripheral devices. Another aim of the course is to gain knowledge about the internal structure of control computers, microcomputers and logic controllers. Learning outcomes of the course unit Obtaining basic knowledge in the area of computer networks ILAN, LAN and WLAN (structure, communication, security, access methods), as part of links in distributed management systems. Wireless communication and its use in control systems. The use of these building elements in industry 4.0 and in computer-integrated industrial control systems.

Summary

Description of building elements used in designing and implementing control systems, possibilities and principles of communication links at different control levels between sensors, control systems and actuators. Implementing new trends in automation in the design of large distributed control systems.

Computer architectures, principles and properties of processors and memories, input and output units, peripheral computer equipment and technology process communication units. System layout of control computers and PLC. Computer networks ILAN, LAN, MAN and WAN - structure, communication, realization. Wireless communication systems and applications in control systems. Using in computer integrated industrial control systems CAD/CAM.
