Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to familiarize with all kinds of sensors that will be used in the preparation of doctoral thesis, and mastery of the scientific methods of designing measurement systems. Student's partial knowledge is organized in the framework of doctoral studies so as to be capable of independent analysis, synthesis and presentation of their ideas.

Summary

Measuring circuit, measurement errors and sensor characteristics, calculation of random and systematic errors, measurement chain. Sensors and Transducers, physical principles of sensors, passive and active sensors. Electrical evaluation circuits for processing signals from sensors selected physical quantities, bridge, amplifier, integrator, A / D converter, signal filtering, interference problems. Measurement of the mechanical power of static and dynamic variables. Temperature measurement, types of sensors. Pressure measurement, types of sensors. Measurement of flow and level, media consumption and energy. Measurement of physical properties of gases and liquids, properties, types of sensors. New principles and transducers in the sensor technology, smart sensors, industrial sensors networks. measuring systems.

Outline 1st Measurement circuit (structure, static and dynamic properties of the members measuring circuits , measurement and control systems ) 2nd Measurement errors and sensors (types of errors, properties, calculation errors of random, a systematic , measuring chain, static and dynamic errors , examples) . 3rd Sensors , Sensors & Transducers ( classification, structure , properties ) . 4th Physical principles of sensors - passive and active sensors (resistance, inductive, capacitive, ionization, magnetic, photoelectric, thermoelectric, piezoelectric, Hall, etc. ..) 5th Electrical evaluation circuit for processing signals from the sensors selected physical quantities (temperature, pressure, flow, position) - the bridge amplifier, integrator, A / D converter, signal filtering, the issue of interference ... 6th of mechanical power static and dynamic quantities (position, dimension, speed, velocity, acceleration, force, vibration) - types of sensors, examples of implementation 7th Temperature measurement (principles, characteristics, contact and contactless sensors, wiring, design, application examples) - types of sensors, examples realization 8th Pressure measurement (principles, characteristics, contact and non-contact sensors, involvement , performance, application examples ) - sensor types, examples of implementation 9th Measurement of flow and level, media consumption and energy (principles, properties, contact and non-contact sensors, wiring, design, examples of application) 10th Measurement of physical properties of gases and liquids (conductivity, pH, viscosities) - principles, characteristics, types of sensors, application examples. 11th New principles and transducers in the sensor technology (optical fiber sensors, laser measuring systems), smart sensors, industrial networks sensors ( Smart sensors ) 12th Measuring systems (structure, hardware and software solutions microcomputer measuring system implementation examples measuring systems PC , ..)
