Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to familiarize with all kinds of sensors that will be used in the preparation of doctoral thesis, and mastery of the scientific methods of designing measurement systems. Student's partial knowledge is organized in the framework of doctoral studies so as to be capable of independent analysis, synthesis and presentation of their ideas.

Summary

Measuring circuit, measurement errors and sensor characteristics, calculation of random and systematic errors, measurement chain. Sensors and Transducers, physical principles of sensors, passive and active sensors. Electrical evaluation circuits for processing signals from sensors selected physical quantities, bridge, amplifier, integrator, A / D converter, signal filtering, interference problems. Measurement of the mechanical power of static and dynamic variables. Temperature measurement, types of sensors. Pressure measurement, types of sensors. Measurement of flow and level, media consumption and energy. Measurement of physical properties of gases and liquids, properties, types of sensors. New principles and transducers in the sensor technology, smart sensors, industrial sensors networks. measuring systems.
